Hi everyone. I have heard there is a global CID failure that cost a fortune to fix. Mine has been acting up since the day I bought BMW 328i 2014. Occasionally the screen would go black and display only BMW logo but in a few hours it would fix itself. The dealer looked at it twice and couldn't find the issue or that was what they had said to me
To activate, after shutting off the car, pull back on the high-beam lever to activate -- the time they stay on is adjustable via iDrive. For the Welcome Lights to activate, headlight switch must be left in the "on", or "auto" position upon shutdown, plus selected via iDrive. BMW-CCA. Bimmerfest Supporting Member.

For example, after starting the car, I cannot change the radio volume, make phone calls, connect bluetooth, etc. for a good 2-3 minutes. Long after the warning message has disappeared. Seems a bit long to me and what I'm used to on other
Maybe euro models are different, but this is a selectable option in idrive - no coding needed. As far as adding modules in NCS expert, you really shouldn't be doing that unless you're adding a physical module to your car system (ie retrofitting air suspension on a car without it). NCS will automatically detect the modules on your car.
Sounds like the CCC is freaking out, try resetting it. Press the eject buttons of the CD and DVD at the same time press the volume button (long button to the left of the CD player). That resets the CCC, if that doesn't work try disconnecting the battery for 30-60 mins (enough that the computers fully go to sleep and reset themselves).
The climate controls work, but without the graphics, it's ok for me since I use "auto" most of the time. Total cost was just above $3K, including everything (plastics, wiring, parts, iDrive touch controller). Having done this retrofit, I wouldn't go for the cheapest kit out there, and I would certainly not attempt to source all parts individually.
Now the idrive knob won't work can someone help please Sent from BimmerApp mobile app. E60 / E61 (2004 - 2010) A forum community dedicated to BMW owners and
